Darius Rucker Does His Part To Help US Veterans

Darius Rucker took some time out of his busy schedule last week to sing for patients at Nashville's Veteran's Administration hospital. The performances were pretty intimate, with Darius singing to one or two patients at a time. He tells the Associated Press, "Those guys are in there, they're vets, and they're not feeling well... You seem to just be making people happy for those two-and-a-half, three minutes that you're playing. That was awesome."

Darius's visit was set up by the Musicians on Call organization as part of their effort to bring music to hospitalized veterans. He also played a show at Nashville's Hard Rock Cafe last week to raise money and awareness about Musicians on Call.
